Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers have 2 options

Disclaimer: all options EXCEPT option 1 (make a 30-45 second video) are open only to residents of Frisco, Texas or those within a 5-10 mile radius of Frisco, Texas.

1. Make a 30-45 second video giving kind, encouraging words to these elementary students as they kick off the school year. Give them motivation, energy, and strength! Your clip will be featured in a compilation video that teachers will present to students when they receive their Kind Packs at the top of the school year! Our video template in the instructions below will guide you.

2. Make a small goodie bag that will go in someone's Kind Pack! You will not be filling this bag with anything; you will simply be making the bag for us to later fill with snacks and treats.

After you have finished everything and we confirm that we have received your work, use admin@givemorehugs.org for entering your hours.

Instructions for Volunteers

must follow exactly as written to earn hours

30-45 second video

1 video = .5 hours

(For this opportunity, you may not make more than 1 video; we will only grant hours for 1)

Make a small goodie bag

1 bag = 1 hour

(You may make as many as you would like, however your school or NHS may have a limit for at-home hours. At Cen10 it is 7 hours for NHS.)

Entering Hours

Concerns regarding Xello, X2Vol, NHS, NJHS, etc!

Important info about entering hours:

1. When asked for the organization name, write The Leaders Readers Network, as that is the non profit we are partnered with. In the comments, or description, write Project Kind Packs.

2. When asked for a supervisor contact, organization contact, or verification email, give admin@givemorehugs.org

100 HOUR GOAL (Xello, X2Vol)

We cannot guarantee your work will be accepted by your school administrators, however you encourage you to enter these hours on X2Vol or Xello anyway. We are tied with a non profit organization, so there is a high chance your hours will be accepted.

NHS/NJHS

Please confirm with your NJHS/NHS sponsors to see if these hours are acceptable. These are the schools we know have already verified our project:

1. Pearson Middle School

2. Centennial High School

3. Vandeventer Middle School
